one woman.

one meeting.

one vote.

Impact The Palm Beaches is not just a matter of facilitating generosity, it is a matter of harnessing the power of women each of whom commits $1,000, to effect social change in our community.

In 2015, Deborah Johnson and Bridget Baratta decided it was time to launch an Impact100 group that would benefit central and northern Palm Beach County. The venture philanthropy effect is making a big impact with a targeted investment of $100,000 Impact grants to area non-profits.

The Impact100 Model has great appeal as it leveraged the power of efficient, collaborative and highly focused philanthropy – driven by women.

Our Committees

Impact the Palm Beaches has a number of wonderful committees that you can join to assist our organization and help us grow. Whether you have one hour a month or 10 hours a month, we will work with you to find a place on a committee that will fit into your schedule. Please reach out to any of the Chairs of our committees to find out more information. We hope that you will join us!

Grant Committee

Each year, Impact the Palm Beaches and its community partners send notices of the availability of our grants to hundreds of nonprofit agencies and invite them to submit grant proposals. Grant Committee members are responsible for carefully vetting grant applications and selecting finalists who will present in front of Impact members at the Annual Award Celebration. Committee members serve as the eyes and ears of the entire membership. Members are required to attend meetings and review applications September through March, and must be either paid in full for the year or current with their installment plan. If you are interested in joining or have questions, email impactpbgrants@outlook.com

Membership Committee

The role of this committee is to connect with our members – current and new. Main tasks include welcoming new members and reaching out to existing members on a regular basis. They also assist in planning membership gatherings with the volunteer hostesses and organize handout materials for these events. It is a great opportunity for you to meet many members. If this is your area of interest, we encourage you to sign for this committee immediately upon joining.

Sponsorship Committee

To sustain and grow, Impact the Palm Beaches requires recurring revenue to support and nurture our volunteer-led chapter. The Sponsorship Committee collaborates and develops financial partnerships with individuals, corporations, and family foundations in our local community to solidify and secure our financial resources today and in the future.

Communications Committee

Strong communications are critical for Impact the Palm Beaches to engage our members and nonprofit applicants. These channels include producing communications to our members and the community about the achievements of our Grant Recipients, invitations, newsletters, announcements, and social media posts. Media skills and writing experience are helpful. This committee also oversees the website, mobile phone app, graphic design, as well as public relations. Graphic design encompasses creating event invitations, ads, web graphics. This committee operates year-round.

Events Committee

This committee is responsible for planning two main events a year: Annual Kick Off Event and Annual Award Celebration. It requires extensive planning and execution on all of the details that are required to make the events special and exciting.

Finance Committee

The Treasurer and Treasurer Elect is responsible for the finances of the organization. They review all invoices and approve requests for payments to cover all of our operating expenses. They put together our budget and report on actual expenses to compare our performance against budget.

Grantee Liason

This committee acts as the liaison between Impact the Palm Beaches and our Grant Recipients. They monitor our Grant Recipients’ progress against the original application and budget and they will coordinate getting updates from the Grant Recipients to share with all members.

Community Captain

Community Captains help welcome new members into their town and introduce them to Impact Sisters who are their neighbors. Neighborhood Captains also assist in planning two small neighborhood events a year. Events can range from a hike, a picnic, dinner, lunch, etc. All events are a Dutch treat. It is a great way to know your neighbors.

Book Club

We love to read! Our book club meets via Zoom every other month and we are always looking for help in organizing and running the events.
