Clay has a way of capturing memories - of place, of time, of emotion. As a self-taught ceramic artist, my work is a reflection of my roots in sunny South Florida. The colors, textures, and movement of the coast inspire me, weaving their way into each piece I create. Whether it's the gentle ripple of the ocean, the warmth of the sun, or the organic curves of nature, my ceramics embody the essence of home.
My journey with art began in the realm of psychology and healing. While working at Sandy Pines Residential Treatment Center, I discovered the profound impact of art as a tool for self-expression and well-being. This passion led me to Lighthouse ArtCenter, where I have had the privilege of serving as an instructor, an education leader, and now as Executive Director. Through my work, both as an artist and an arts advocate, I strive to foster creativity, accessibility, and the transformative power of art in the lives of others.
In my ceramics, I embrace the unpredictable nature of clay—its softness, its strength, and its ability to transform. Each piece is a reflection of my journey, shaped by both the places I've been and the people I've had the privilege to inspire. Through my work, I hope to bring warmth, connection, and a sense of belonging, just as art has done for me.
